The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; Your steadfast love, O Lord, endures forever.
Psalm 138:8 NRSV
This week’s memory verse is one of assurance and hope. Hope that the Lord has a purpose for me, even me…and that the Lord, through steadfast love, will accomplish it.
We often find our purpose wrapped up in one, or more, of three areas.
- Passions/Gifts
- Place
- People
Find ways to help others through the gifts you’ve been given, the places you’ve been planted, the people you’ve been surrounded by. I believe that we care more about the details of what we do than God does. What are your gifts? Where do you live? Who are you around? These three things, and your active participation in meeting needs within them, will go a long ways in determining whether your life is lived on God’s purpose or you simply float around aimlessly.
Hide Psalm 138:8 in your heart by memorizing it and be reminded continually that God has a purpose for you and it will be fulfilled by the one whose love is steadfast.
love this!!! Thank you!!!
