Before you head of into this first weekend of December with three weeks left of shopping and watching Hallmark movies, here are three things that I’ve read and been thinking about this week. I hope they challenge and help you as much as they have me.
Have a great weekend!

You cannot change your destination overnight, but you can change your direction overnight.
Jim Rohn
A helpful statement describing repentance. Repenting, turning around in the best sense of the word, orients us to a new direction filled with new opportunities and possibilities…if that turning is toward Christ.
#2
Hope inspires the good to reveal itself.
Emily Dickinson
A description of what happens when we choose hope over despair. Someone who believes in me will draw the best out of me. Those who do not believe in me cause me to care little and do even less. Maybe more than I needed to share…
I know that some pro athletes say they are out to prove their haters wrong. But that is not how I am wired, nor how God has wired this world in my belief. You want someone’s best? For the good to reveal itself? Fan the flames with hope not hate; belief not doubt; love not fear.

People wish to be settled; only as far as they are unsettled is there any hope for them. –
Ralph Waldo Emerson
The definition of leadership I have been coming back to is disappointing people at a pace that won’t make them run away. Helping people to embrace being unsettled is more art than science. There must trust between that springs from respect built over time. And there must be faith that Christ will meet us in our unsettled moments as they create cracks in our lives where the light can shine in.

You don’t need to worry about disappointing people…you never could! You are a warm, caring person and No One is running away. We all love you. Cindy
