And then – Palm Sunday

Jesus rode into Jerusalem to the sound of cheers and then led out with jeers.

They raised him up on a colt and then they raised him on the Cross.

He was bound to the purposes of God being called a prophet and then bound to a tree between two criminals.

They laid garments at his feet and then watched while soldiers gambled for the shirt of his back.

It all began with a Hallelujah and then ended with a Crucify him.

I'm one of the pastors at First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky where I've served for the past thirteen years. The sub-title of this blog is "Grace is no accident" which happens to be the defining reality of my life. God's grace (gift) is the reason we have breath in our lungs and hope in our hearts.
