Making Tuesday count is at the top of my prayer list today. One of the best ways we honor God is by being present. Jesus’ name, Immanuel, actually means “God with us”.

What a great reminder that God is a God of presence.

We all have a past and a future, but it is in the midst of the present that both our past and future are understood and shaped.

It is true…we only have this moment. The past two months have been a vivid reminder for me as the amount of funerals I’ve attended and/or officiated is north of 8.

What if we were fully present in every moment of Tuesday? Not worrying about tomorrow or fretting over the past. But truly present in what and who was right in front of us.
