Many of you know that I’m traveling for the next 9 days to South Korea as part of my doctoral program at Asbury Seminary. The class itself will be on change management and leadership. I know the staff at First Church are excited to hear that I’m going to take a class about how to change stuff! I’ve attached the itenerary below in case you’d like to pray for our time. You’ll notice on Thursday there is a 5hour prayer meeting specifically for Korea’s reunification. That may be one of the most pressing parts of the trip. The church in S. Korea has long held that reunification is God’s will and they continue to pray for it and invite others to do the same. I’m sure there will be much more about that as the week unfolds. I’ll keep you posted with a few pics, major findings, and my thoughts. My desire is that this will be a good way for me to process and maybe a bit of education for all of us.

I'm one of the pastors at First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky where I've served for the past thirteen years. The sub-title of this blog is "Grace is no accident" which happens to be the defining reality of my life. God's grace (gift) is the reason we have breath in our lungs and hope in our hearts.
