Below is a crockpot recipe my wife made a couple of weeks ago. What a
strange title of the dish. But it is sometimes exactly how I feel.
Just one of 6 billion people roaming around this planet living out the
proverb from Ecclesiastes that says "All is vanity."
While humility is
an important trait, so is recognizing that we were created uniquely by
God. And it is God who gives us gifts, talents, and passion for life.

When I am feeling that life is a bit irrelevant, I try to focus on my
passions in life. I also focus on other people and lifting them up.
I know that life is not lived out on a plain bit rather on peaks and in valleys. That is why it is so important to surround ourselves with
people who we can encourage and be encouraged by.

Sounds like I just made an apologetic statement for the church. And I guess I did. Finding a church home and a small group to plug into is paramount to life lived well in my opinion. We were meant to live in community. I define community as living among other people who can stretch us, hold us accountable, and encourage us throughout our journey in life. I know this is not an easy thing to do, but it is more than worth it.
