I found the above link at Tom Peter’s website. It is a 3 minute video where he talks about the role of leadership as empowering others to “unleash their dreams.” I have been looking for a succinct way to express what I have been feeling, thinking, and attempting to do over the past 7 months at Andover. Help people live into their God given, inspired and equipped dreams of ministry. It is not about the professional clergy having the total vision. It is about a joint and shared vision between clergy and lay that empowers the church. My personal dream is that the entirety of ministry be “owned” by laypersons in such a way as we all grow closer to Christ through seasons of being equipped and serving.
