Good Friday thought

A mark of character by Snow, Edwards

The above linked story is not necessarily “Christian”, it does tell the story of goodness/victory coming out of the midst of bad situations. I believe that one of God’s blessing in the face of the curse of the “fall” is the ability for beauty to grow out of the midst of ruin. In fact, a beauty and goodness that can be seen with clarity rarely observed outside of hardship.

Anyone can go through the good times of life. Jesus’ example on the Cross is one of perserverance through life’s most difficult trials. May this Good Friday be a time of renewed comfort for us in that our Saviour did not sidestep the hardships. What love He has for the Father. What love He has for you and me.
