But there is also a time to get away from the action and think. Get away from the action and listen. Get away from the action and connect with God. I will add to the author’s practical ideas for reducing saturation:

1. Turn off the radio, cell phone, blackberry while in the car and simply pray. Thank God for the day, your friends and family, and most of all your relationship with him given to you by faith in Jesus.

2. Make time in your day to sit and think. Let your mind wander to whatever subject God directs you.

3. Pray for someone else. I encourage you to walk into a colleague’s office, call someone on the phone, or even use email to lift someone up in prayer. Again, let God direct you to the person each day He wants you spend a few minutes.

I'm one of the pastors at First United Methodist Church in Lexington, Kentucky where I've served for the past thirteen years. The sub-title of this blog is "Grace is no accident" which happens to be the defining reality of my life. God's grace (gift) is the reason we have breath in our lungs and hope in our hearts.
