Bigger not necessarily better

WSJ.com – Carly Fiorina Forced Out As H-P CEO, Chairman

The news of Carly being forced out is interesting to me. I believe that her failure was the Compaq merger. Bigger does not necessarily mean better. Actually, bigger simply means bigger, more difficult to manage, and slower to react to change. Innovation and relevance for today is the key to successes in my opinion. This is best achieved in a smaller and nimble organization. I also think this is a classic tale of lifecycle creep. More to come…
